my first osu game

my friend came over earlier this week so that i could photograph her for her youtube channel art. it was fun, and she's really cool. i think i did a good job for her? we didn't get a lot, which is ok, but i would have loved to have spent more time with her and shot more. i edited them for her and sent them to her on facebook while she was here.

this is the one that got the most likes and comments on facebook isn't she a doll?

the other day i went to dairy queen to apply for work there. my cousin works there and she's helping me get hired. i'm hoping to get it, but also nervous because i'm used to just being at home with brynn all day. plus mom is going to work until elections again this year so she might not be able to babysit for me. my aunt keeps saying we'll figure it out and that it'll work out but i don't know.

after i applied, i had to wait on mom to pick me up, so i sat outside at a bench under a tree. i saw a lot of high school aged kids getting off from school and walking home. a guy started walking over to me and he asked if he could use my phone. i lied and said that i was charged by the minute so he would make it quicker lol. i asked him what he needed it for and he said to "call one of his dudes". we started talking a little bit and we've been messaging online ever since. he asks me to hang out with him every day but i don't because i have the baby, and i can't just ask mom to watch the baby while i hang out with some random guy who needed my phone behind the dairy queen.

my sister lizz invited me to go to an osu game, so i had tanner's mom babysit brynn and went with her, her boyfriend, and his sister who is amber who i've known since we were like 12. it was pretty cool all in all.

at first, i was positively terrified of how high up we were and how huge and relatively dangerous the 'shoe is. everyone kept asking me if i was ok, and i said i was, and i really was, but i felt queasy for a minute and was probably colorless.

then i settled and started enjoying being there and watching the game. also EVERYTHING WAS RED everything and everyone

after lots of hours and grueling work, blood, sweat, and tears, i finished editing my document your life video for september! i'll post it tomorrow. it's unlisted on youtube, i'm doing to make it public and share it on facebook and twitter and also this blog lol. it's pretty freakin great, i think, and i can't wait to make more :)

b is for brynn

i think im gonna start doing entire posts dedicated to just brynn and her shenanigans these days.

today brynn is going to be five months old in about a week, which is crazy insane amazing.

she grabs at things, gets a hold of them, and grips it like a pro now. she gets better at sitting up on her own every day, to the point where we can just hold her hands and let her wobble a little and balance her ownself.

she brings everything to her mouth which makes me a nervous wreck. i have to keep everything that she can choke on out of reach. she pulls my hair and chews on it, if she can get away with it.

we have bumped her up to 6 ounces every four hours. she still eats like a little breastfed baby because she's spoiled ;) i don't mind.

she went to her four months old appointment and got the same set of shots as her two months appointment. i had to go alone and it's probably harder for me to watch her get her shots than for her to get her shots. she cries for a couple of minutes, then is over it, while i am sad the entire week afterword

she has a lot of new seating things for her to sit in recently, for whatever reason. we have a walker, that she's good in. her high chair is a little too advanced, but she'll be using it soon. and today my sister handed down a little spinny seat thing with toys on it.

my sister lizz on my dad's side came over to see her for the first time, and she had the whole experience. brynn pooped, cried, and needed fed, and she changed, comforted, and fed her :)

for the first time ever probably in my life i went to an official family reunion. it was my dad's side of the family. they hold one every year but i finally got to go this year with our little branch. everyone there i have talked to on facebook, but meeting them and talking to them in real life was way more awesome than connecting on facebook.

i dont think im gonna post the family picture because there's a lot of people in it and i can not know for sure if they are all ok with me just posting their picture randomly around the internet.

my document your life video is going so amazingly well. i decided to start editing it so i wouldn't spend a whole night doing all of it and potentially not posting it one the very first of october.

i'm using a song i asked permission to use from an unsigned band, so hopefully there are no legal issues there. they personally emailed me back saying i could use the song i asked for, which was awesome. it was a song that was available to download for free. it goes so well with the video i almost want to cry every single darn time lol

now i'm on the hunt for next month's song. i have six weeks to find one, which is a lot of time, but im worried i won't find one as perfect.

one of my friends also from high school just started a youtube and needs me to do pictures for her channel art, which is like a really awesome thing. i havent seen her in forever, i love her, she's so nice, and i can't wait to do that for her.

a butterfly debatably named porch

so mom and i were just chillin' on our front porch, mindlessly observing nothing, when i spied with my little eye a strange little hanging green pod. we both were one hundred percent clueless what the heck it was because third grade was a very long time ago, and i did not remember what a butterfly chrysalis looked like. apparently they look like this

and we did a lot of googling and found out they take a couple of weeks to bake before the butterfly makes his appearance. we thought we were going to have to wait forever, but we were wrong. the next day, our chrysalis began to darken

then over the course of the day he became very dark and slightly transparent, so that you could see his wings

overnight, i was worried he'd break out and fly away without saying goodbye but i was not disappointed! in the morning we got a butterfly! mom ran upstairs and got everyone to come down and see her, it was kind of a huge deal because we didn't expect her so early :)

she was there pretty much the entire morning. it was rainy and humid, so i guess that made drying out her wings take longer. which, pft, was awesome, cos she was just there all day, fine by us heh

later, while we were out chillin' on the porch, she started climbing up to higher ground and flew off. i was taking pictures and she like picked up her little foot and angrily shook her fist at me lol

our butterfly used to be a caterpillar and that is amazing. caterpillars turn into butterflies. in two weeks they turn into butterflies. just because. crazy
