she's been grabbing things, and not just wrapping her fingers around stuff, but really grabbing them, and tasting them if she can. we've also been working on putting her on her tummy more often so she can get comfortable enough doing it and learn to roll herself onto her back :) mostly during tummy time though she kicks her legs, which is interesting

new camera lens

i got a new lens for my sony alpha a65. it's a macro lens, and it's everything i have ever wanted. i say that every time i get something new, but this time i mean it lol

the next thing i need to do is wash my hair, do my makeup, and take one good selfie and make it my profile picture everywhere. it's been far too long since i have had a good enough one. it's difficult to get a good selfie with the my other lens, and my rear facing camera on my phone is .3 megapixel :(

throwback thursday

my mom was over at my grandma's going through photos, and came home with a huge pile of pictures of all of her babies when they were babies. so basically i have throwback thursday material for a while :)

the first pic is me, and the second is my baby brynn. i've been trying to convince my family ever since she was born that she looked like my baby pictures, but no one believed me until they saw my baby pictures lol.

it's hard to get a picture of her smiling, even though she smiles all the time, because when i get my camera out she just stares at it and examines it and ignores anyone else. she's going to have to get used to it though ;)

brynn, my nine-week-old daughter, had her two month doctor visit yesterday. she was a pretty tough cookie, and didn't fuss at all during the check up stuff. she aced all the goofy little developmental tests the nurse gave her. it was a two hour visit by the end of it, so i had to breastfeed her while waiting on the doctor. embarrassing, but i'm getting used to doing that any more.

she even slept while waiting on the nurses and doctors. she screamed after getting stuck three times, then pretty soon after calmed down.

since the appointment, she has slept so hard core all day. she's not had any significant awake time but to eat. my mom and i gave her a tiny dose of children's tylenol after checking her temperature, and then her vitamins.

that's my sweet baby brynn, my tough cookie, who is in the eighty fifth percentile for both height and weight <3

i absolutely had to make a blog

i caught a case of the blog bug and couldn't go another day knowing in my head i was without a blog. i thought about it for a week straight every night before going to sleep. i thought about what i would post and what colors i wanted to use and what i was going to call it.

but now i have a blog made and everything and i haven't made a single post yet. i have no idea what my first post should be. does anyone? are all first blog posts introductions? why? you'll get to know me through my blog.

so this is my first post. i'm sarah, i'm 19, i'm a mom to a baby girl named brynn, i'm a girlfriend, the sister to seven siblings, the aunt of five kids, and i also like to take pictures. and my favorite color is yellow. and my favorite animal is the llama. and you'll see what i look like eventually.

now that's done i'll start posting more interesting things promise ;)
